Have these guys reinvented people’s attitude to dance music…? Do they possess an uncanny ability to feed their music public with exactly how they want it!? Is it a Mumbles thang?

Adjectives. Lot’s and lots of lovely, lovely adjectives that’s what’s consuming us about this album… So much good to hear…. The epic (there’s one for starters) third album I Choose Noise from Chris Healings and Mike Truman, as family and friends know them, is out on Distinct’ive Records on 4th September.

“Let’s get buddy film arranger dude Harry Gregson Williams to co-score the strings. Then maybe pull a favour from Perry Farrell, (the fella with those distinctive vocals from Jane’s Addiction). More vocals… okay I’d love to lay down some vocals on Falling Down. How about the gorgeous harmonies of Judie Tzuke, and maybe Kirsty Hawkshaw, you know Orbital, Opus III and BT fame -maybe for Just For Today… Perfect. John (Graham) from Quiver might be up for laying down a few vocals? Then to top it off we should get down to Loud – John Dent’s custom built studio; PJ Harvey, Kasabian and even Kylie have mastered there and it’s only down in Taunton”.

I hate eavesdropping conversations, but this really is just half the story. The rest is continuous sonic finery, no written word could give justice to. Days, months, years of tweaking and re-working and then tweaking and maybe re-working again.

John Williams noughties style. Stars Wars maybe over; the Jaws soundtrack in the vaults marked legendary but these guys are ready to rock the block with their own dance music revolution.

For more information on how they met via a Pink Floyd Remix and early music influences (no mention of drum kits aged 14 we promise) check the brand spanking new biography.

Via Hollywood film scores Radiohead remixes; tours with Moby and being one of the most successful break beat artists in the world (selling over 100,000 units of their debut album) these guys get a lot of practice at being good. There we go, another adjective!!
